Position Overview

The Associate Director, eCommerce is responsible for the planning and executional operations of the eCommerce strategy and vision. The role is accountable to both external users, as well as internal stakeholders and will serve as lead for the eCommerce product team. This role requires a passion for technology and a proven track record driving eCommerce revenue growth (preferably with a subscription-based business), optimizing order flows across multiple platforms including desktop, mobile, mobile apps, and establishing an empirically-driven culture defined by collaboration, transparent communication, technical prowess and strategic innovation

Qualifications Include

  • College degree or equivalent—Master’s degree preferred—plus 7+ years product manager work experience developing highly scaled, data-driven web destinations with significant revenue, preferably with a significant eCommerce component
  • Demonstrated record of progressively increasing responsibility; experience with a high-volume subscription-based eCommerce business is a big plus
  • Consumer-first orientation and strong passion for delivering quality tools, information and content in service to consumer needs
  • Proven experience with Agile Scrum development technologies
  • Active listening, superior written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with Google Apps suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, etc.) and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), JIRA, prototyping and testing tools -- familiarity with eCommerce and other AWS-hosted applications and payment platforms a plus


Key Responsibilities

  • Manages strategic direction and technical innovation for all order flows
  • Manages and leads cross-functional team of product managers, developers, project managers, and other IT professionals toward achieving business KPIs
  • Responsible for eCommerce-related business requests, architecture, development, release, and maintenance of related infrastructure and third-party systems integration
  • Leads effective collaboration with other teams, including: Senior Leadership, Marketing, Design, IT & Data Engineering, Legal, and other Digital Product teams  
  • Analyzes and reports KPIs in collaboration with colleagues in Finance & Marketing
