Position Overview

This role helps shape the data intelligence strategy and leads the implementation efforts behins the delivery of quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting for CR’s data intelligence program.

 

This program is focused on CR's relationships with manufacturers, regulators and researchers and will continue our legacy of using data to impact the marketplace for consumer good.

Qualifications Include

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Data Science, Business Administration, or other related field and 7 to 10 years’ experience of relevant experience.

     

  • Must be highly experienced with data cleanups, data blending, data transformation, etc.

     

  • Demonstrated success turning significant amounts of data into meaningful insights and reports through various statistical and analytical techniques

     

  • Ability to drive cross-functional collaboration, as well as interface with external stakeholders.

     

  • Experience with unstructured data formats and integration of big data sources a plus.

     

  • Must be able to partner with designers to conceptualize data visualizations that maximize the comprehension and impact of CR’s unique data.

     

  • Experience with Tableau required; experience with R or Python is highly beneficial.
  • Experience with statistical software packages, e.g., SAS or SPSS (PASW) and PASW Modeler

     

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners with Leadership to assess areas of potential opportunities, gauge marketplace demand and determine availability and ease of data collection.

  • Leverages CR’s multiple data assets to meet the needs of manufacturers, influencers, and regulatory bodies as part of the data intelligence program.

  • Drives methodology and ensures appropriate governance to maintain data integrity and evolve reporting.

    Leads cross-functional collaboration to deliver in-depth analysis by leveraging CR’s consumer survey data, consumer engagement insights and unique product testing data from each of the Consumer Impact Areas, and coupling it with external/Big Data sources.

  • Identifies trends and gleans meaningful insights that drive marketplace change, particularly as they relate to safety, consumer protection, and product improvement.

  • Works closely in collaboration with CR’s Statistics & Data Science leader as well as other key subject matter experts to ensure best practices and consistent analyses.

  • Supports Director, Design & Data to turn analysis into digestible, visually appealing content and determine best ways to package and deliver to identified audiences.

  • Establishes scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development, model validation and model implementation.

  • Applies advanced algorithms to complex problems in real time systems and deliver concise, insightful analysis.

  • Conceptualizes and implements new and cutting-edge data driven analytical capabilities.

  • Effectively uses tools to manipulate large-scale databases, synthesizing data insights

  • Provides data extract and optimization to support end-to-end analysis projects including process design, data requirements development and delivery

     

  • Creates repeatable processes to support development of modeling and reporting

     

  • Works closely with program leadership, technology, and product management to turn data analysis into actionable algorithms and applications.

     

  • Partners with enterprise data engineering and architecture teams to share best practices and identify opportunities to ingest new data sources.

     

  • Determines and oversees budget expenditures for purchases of external data sources and software licenses associated with Data Intelligence program.

     

  • Responsible for hiring, development and evaluation of data intelligence staff; coaches and mentors team members.

    Supports ad hoc projects, as needed.
