    In an ever growing and evolving marketplace, it’s often difficult for consumers to distinguish between well designed and poorly designed products. Bad design can hinder or harm while good design can delight and make life easier.

    Seeking an expert to oversee testing projects related to the usability of consumer products. As Project Leader you will ensures that testing protocols and procedures are followed, and develop methodologies to meet objectives.  Must have proven ability to analyze data and able to prepare clear and concise written and verbal reports.

    Qualifications Include

    • BS degree or equivalent background in an usability-related field: human factors, psychology, sociology, anthropology, HCI, etc., with a minimum of 3-5 yrs’ experience in designing, executing, and reporting usability insights. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Prior working experience including usability test protocol development and leading test programs.
    • Highly skilled in a range of research methods, with demonstrated experience designing and conducting different types of user-interaction studies, including usability studies, heuristic and expert reviews.
    • Exceptional project management and data analysis skills required.
    • Ability to negotiate and manage vendors.
    • Written and verbal skills to clearly and accurately report test methods and results as well as explain them in a way that is understandable by others who are not technically knowledgeable.
    • Ability to visualize data in unique ways, present evidence and make recommendations.
    • Ability to complete complex assignments requiring ingenuity, originality and resourcefulness.
    • Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, including technical report-writing skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plans, coordinates and oversees usability test projects.
    • Implements testing protocols and ensures proper implementation.
    • Knowledge of test methodologies, equipment and protocols
    • Ensures that test data meet established standards for accuracy, repeatability, reproducibility and dependability.
    • Designs and helps to build testing tools and develops methods to accomplish goals defined by test protocols as required.
    • Prepares preliminary test project protocols.
    • Evaluates and recommends improvements to existing test procedures.
    • Actively participates as a member of a product testing and content team, conferring with other team members as necessary to ensure objectives for quality and timeliness are met.
    • Ensures quality of projects and strives for continuous quality improvement.
