This role partners with the Vice President, Advocacy to help steward, coordinate and manage the activities of the Advocacy division and to ensure the Vice President and division are successful in achieving their strategic goals. The Manager is responsible for helping the VP set priorities, coordinating the schedule to use time and resources effectively, overseeing budget administration and planning, and completing high-reliability follow-up on task tracking and completion.
Supports the VP, Advocacy on strategic planning and helps ensure the division is aligned around a shared set of goals.
Tracks, monitors and reports on progress of such plans.
Partners with finance, human resources, and legal in matters that impact the advocacy staff.
Supports the VP in the construction and management of the departmental expense budget and related operating initiative budgets. Administers the budget and coordinates with finance on quarterly forecasts and other planning.
Reviews and approves purchase orders s for department expenses, researches and resolves issues with invoices.
Facilitates hiring, planning, and other operational aspects of the Advocacy intern program.
