Consumer Insights Analyst


The Opportunity

The Consumer Insights team supports Consumer Reports’ business objectives by analyzing our consumers’ behavior to help create a better customer experience. Consumer Reports is dedicated to empowering consumers with information and helping to create a safer and more equitable marketplace. You will analyze survey, website traffic, and third party data to help create a more meaningful experience for our members and attract new audiences. You will have an important role in efforts to inform business strategy, understand the consumer journey, increase customer retention and loyalty, improve brand perception, and build new services.  

What you will do

  • Provide qualitative and quantitative research for multiple projects and business areas company-wide
  • Execute all aspects of primary research projects, including recommending methodologies, identifying data/information sources, research and survey design, sampling plans, data collection, and analytical plans
  • Engage with business stakeholders across the organization including Digital, Marketing, Content, Testing, Advocacy, New Ventures to understand research objectives, requirements, and expectations
  • Analyze and share insights & recommendations via written reports, presentations, and dashboards to internal clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership
  • Convert data and findings into understandable and visual tables, graphs, and written reports

About You

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Market Research or an analytics discipline in addition to 3 years of experience in a Market Research/Consumer Insights position
  • Experience with statistical software platforms (SPSS, SAS, R, Python, Alteryx, etc.)
  • You must have experience analyzing survey data
  • You have deep experience with statistical methods and procedures including factor analysis, regression analysis, correlational analysis, ANOVA, etc.


Big Bonus Points For experience programming surveys in Qualtrics, Confirmit or similar platform
