THE OPPORTUNITY

The Database Analyst is a key member of the Consumer Data Hub Platform team reporting to the Associate Director, Customer Data Platform. 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance, auditing and troubleshooting of the Consumer Data Hub, our customer data platform. You will write technical requirements for Consumer Data Hub enhancements in support of new business processes and marketing programs. Develop interactive dashboards for CR’s marketing team providing actionable insights to grow our reach.

 

What You'll Do

  • Using SQL you will execute ad hoc queries against the database for problem resolution.
  • Analyze data issues, determine the source of problems, and recommend corrective actions. Identify and recommend improved controls and procedures to avoid recurrence.  
  • Validate daily production loads, reviewing counts and identifying and resolving data anomalies.  
  • Liaise with contributing source system vendors to ensure the seamless processing of the regular updates of the Consumer Data Hub database.  
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and translate their requirements into technical specifications and processing instructions.  
  • Develop, execute and fully document test plans, and perform user acceptance testing (UAT)  to confirm the accuracy of any data and system enhancements made to the production database.   

ABOUT YOU

What We Need To See

  •  B.S. in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)  in addition to 2 years of experience managing marketing databases, CRM systems or data warehouse operations. Solid understanding of ETL workflow.  
  • Experience working with at least one relational database system (Oracle, MS SQL Server, etc)  
  • Strong hands-on data analysis skills, ability to develop complex SQL queries.  

What We'd Love To See

  • Experience with reporting, business intelligence and data visualization tools (Tableau, DOMO).
