THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you a car enthusiast with a B2C digital product background? We’ve got the perfect role for you! This position will lead Consumer Reports Cars product team, the leading car review and ratings destination, and the only one with a dedicated test track. Working closely with our auto test experts, editorial and marketing teams, and our external partners, you will drive the product vision for cars to build on our best-in-class experience. You will also work to engage and reshape the marketplace in favor of consumers, enabling them to make the best choices for themselves and their families. What You'll Do

 

  • Set the product vision and strategy for the Cars digital experience
  • Run and provide daily direction to a cross-functional agile team, overseeing the backlog, standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives. Balance and prioritize roadmap initiatives based on user needs and short and long term organization objectives.
  • Working on a variety of projects and initiatives you will work with stakeholders across the organization including digital, IT, marketing, content, testing, research, finance, and other groups as necessary
  • Develop an expert understanding of the competitive landscape and our audiences to improve our user experience. Help map user journeys based on personas and drive personalized experiences.
  • Identify opportunities and solutions to meet consumer needs, and translate them into requirements, stories and supporting artifacts that articulate simple, elegant solutions.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative research findings with data and analytics to gain insights, make informed decisions and identify opportunities.
  • Work with our UX and engineering teams to develop prototypes, A/B tests and other experiments to validate hypotheses. Define metrics and KPIs to track success and allow us to make informed, data-driven decisions.

ABOUT YOU

What We Need To See

 

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years working on a consumer facing product.
  • Experience with agile processes and in balancing long term goals with progressive, iterative deliverables. 
  • You have experience synthesizing large amounts of data and research to inform customer-centric solutions.
  • You have experience working in highly matrixed organizations and have a proven track record of aligning stakeholders across an organization
  • You are proficient with Google Apps suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, etc.) and  Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), JIRA, prototyping, personalization and testing tools.
