We're looking foran experienced and motivated technologist to provide optimization solutions to a variety of applications and initiatives that impact CR’s flagship website ( In this role, you will maintain expertise in web industry standards, technologies and trends with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including Senior Management. 


What You'll Do


  • Work across multiple departments and businesses to educate, champion and drive adoption of SEO best technical practices and ensure execution of SEO friendly technical implementations, collaborate on overall SEO strategy, driving the technical aspect of that strategy, and ensuring that CR’s digital presence executes on it.
  • Lead identification, investigation and resolution of technical issues that impact SEO.
  • Co-own membership goals including traffic and orders goals related to SEO.
  • Monitor CR applications for reliability and performance and collaborate with internal product/tech teams to deliver the best possible customer facing experience
  • Define and own a technical optimization roadmap, driven by business strategy and prioritize to ensure alignment with marketing and engineering teams.
  • Contribute to the overall improvement of the IT department by suggesting better, more efficient ways to execute operations that provide higher quality results
  • Continually research emerging technologies and become an outspoken advocate for change
  • Solve complex problems with simple architectural solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical requirements.


What We Will Need To See


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent industry experience in addition to 5 years of experience with SEO .
  • Mastery in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, asynchronous request handling & APIs/services layer integration

  • Advanced knowledge of software engineering with agile methodologies using languages such as PHP, Java, Ruby, Python, as well as expertise in architecture, operations and systems support.
  • Subject matter expertise as it pertains to SEO & ADA principles with a strong track record in designing systems for scalability, performance and reliability
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with experimentation (A/B testing), personalization, website analytics, and the tactics needed to improve user experience and drive increased performance
  • Strong responsive web design experience and understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Hands-on experience with WordPress, AWS infrastructure and at least one advanced framework (such as React, Angular or Vue) is a must
  • Use pagespeed insight tools, SEO monitoring tools and web analytics platforms to monitor, analyze and optimize website performance.
