Financial Systems Analyst

The Financial Systems Analyst provides direct support for CR’s financial systems, including Oracle Financials, Kofax Markview (for AP Invoicing), IBM TM1/Planning Analytics (for budgeting and reporting), and SAP/Concur (for T&E reporting). The analyst will be able to troubleshoot and triage issues in these systems, and respond timely to outside requests for support. The analyst will also be able to develop and deploy new applications, in response to the needs of the business.


How You’ll Make an Impact:


You will help CR operate effectively by enhancing and maintaining CR’s financial systems, including organizing and analyzing data to solve system issues as they arise. You will review data and policies to identify ways of automating tasks to streamline various processes across the organization.  

  • You will provide Oracle Financials. Kofax Markview, and IBM/TM1-Planning Analytic technical support to the accounting department and other business users. Meet with end-users to identify opportunities for new and existing technologies.
  • You will assist with monitoring and maintenance of database, network, and other systems that support the core Oracle Financials system.
  • You will assist with upgrades and implementations of accounting financial systems and related systems.
  • You will assist with implementation of interfaces between systems.
  • You will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems. Initiate problem resolution activities and assist when appropriate.
  • You will write computer programs, macros, and scripts to enhance and integrate existing technologies and/or facilitate user processes.
  • You will participate in meetings with vendors to help assess new technologies, and upgrade existing systems.
  • You will review expense report exceptions for policy and reasonableness.
  • You will create and modify concur audit rules.
  • You will assist in developing and implementing Finance division strategic goals as appropriate.


You’ll Be Highly Rated If:

  • You have an Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or related field with a minimum of two years hands-on experience in Oracle E-Business Suite or similar systems (may be substituted for an equivalent combination of work experience and/or education).
  • You have excellent written, problem solving and documentation skills.
  • You have an understanding of relational database concepts, including the ability to understand and organize data.
  • You have knowledge of SQL (Oracle SQL preferred).
  • You are familiar with financial accounting systems and accounting work flows.
  • You have strong MS excel knowledge including experience with editing VBA.

You’ll Be One of Our Top Picks If:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree
  • You have experience working with IBM/TM1 or other OLAP database systems.
  • You have an understanding of Unix, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • You have experience in network infrastructure and integrating disparate systems.
  • You have experience with Concur configuration and Cognos report writing.
  • You have a demonstrated ability to implement current technologies to bring solutions to user problems.




Our Commitment to Fair Pay

At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
