As a Product Test Technician you’ll be part of the team that has an inside view of our 63 state of the art labs. Reporting to the Manager, Test Technicians you’ll conduct simple to complex product performance tests on small and large appliances, home items and food that help to inform our product ratings. This is a great opportunity to grow your technical skills for a good cause.
This position requires you to work onsite at our facility in Yonkers, New York.

Our test results and recommendations help consumers make critical and informed buying decisions. Sometimes they even encourage individual companies to improve their competitive advantage by meeting CR’s test standards in their own QA departments.
Following documented test processes and procedures and under the supervision of Senior Test Technicians you will prepare and conduct tests, assuring that the test data meets established standards for accuracy, repeatability, and dependability. Your responsibilities can include reviewing the data and approaches used by your colleagues and as needed, preparing, maintaining and calibrating our testing devices and equipment.

Our Commitment to Fair Pay--At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is $65,300-$67,300. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience. This Salary range this union position are determined by collective bargaining agreement with the NewsGuild of New York.
The successful candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date.
