OVERVIEW

Consumer Reports is seeking an experienced, resourceful, results-driven Manager, Talent Acquisition for a leadership role on our People & Culture team. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the Manager, Talent Acquisition supports CR’s evolving business by establishing best in class strategies to identify, attract, and secure top talent. The Manager, Talent Acquisition develops and implements effective processes that create robust, diverse pipelines for all roles. Partnering with hiring managers at every level of the organization, the incumbent develops innovative solutions for hard to fill roles. The Manager, Talent Acquisition builds appropriate external relationships and ensures CR is well-positioned as an employer of choice.

 

Under our CRFlex program, this position is eligible for 100% Remote status in one of our 13 approved locations (Arizona, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Vermont, Virginia and Washington, DC.)

ABOUT YOU

 

You’ll Be Highly Rated If:

 

  • You have full scope talent acquisition experience. You have at least 7 years of experience in a recruitment role, including at least 2 years leading a team with responsibility for recruiting, including sourcing, screening, managing the interview process and moving candidates through to accepted offers.
  • You have experience recruiting in the tech, digital, or media space. You have spent at least 2 years successfully sourcing and placing software/DevOps engineers or data scientists OR you have spent at least 2 years recruiting in organizations focused on digital and/or print media. You know where the best tech and digital talent is and how to reach them.
  • Your default way of working is through an ATS. You have designed and/or administered high functioning, fully self-contained candidate management systems. You have been successful in finding new ways to automate tracking and notifications.
  • You are well-versed in contemporary interviewing best practices. You have demonstrated success as a strong thought partner with hiring managers building out harmonized, repeatable interview processes. You understand how to see past what is on paper to assess candidates for the target value add competencies. You have examples of how you have worked with leaders across at all levels and used a variety of strategies to improve the effectiveness and speed of the interview phase.
  • You have a track record of generating diverse candidate pools. You ensure the use of a variety of methods to create pools of qualified candidates that reflect a diversity of races, genders, sexual orientations, ability statuses, as well as other experiences and points of view. You have developed creative strategies for finding the best candidates and you can provide numerous examples of how you have sourced excellent candidates from unexpected places.
  • You have a strong orientation to metrics and data. You know your candidate numbers, your time to fill targets, and days open metrics like the back of your hand. You measure the success of the various strategies you are trying and revise your tactics when they fail to yield the best prospects.
  • You are an excellent communicator. You understand the importance of the information flow between hiring managers and Talent Acquisition. You have a system for keeping both your internal clients and your candidates informed and engaged every step of the way.  
  • You have a strong service orientation. Whether your stakeholder is internal or external, senior leader or frontline employee, you are adept at prioritizing requests and inquiries. You listen to understand, not only to respond.

 

You’ll Be One of Our Top Picks If:  

 

  • You have deep experience building and managing talent acquisition teams. You have 10 or more years of experience in dedicated recruitment roles, including at least 5 years leading a team with full scope responsibility. You have developed high performing teams that understand the current and future needs of their client groups, that communicate seamlessly, partner with hiring managers and others in creative and productive ways, and make data-driven decisions that drive efficiency and satisfaction.
  • You have previous experience using iCIMS. You have built out high functioning workflows in iCIMS and understand how to leverage the system for maximum efficiency and a great user experience.

 

 

Our Commitment to Fair Pay

At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is $150,000 to $170,000. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies and experience.

 

 

The successful candidate must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to the start date.
