CR’s New Ventures team discovers, incubates, and grows new products and services designed to solve thorny consumer problems. Working on the New Ventures team feels a lot like working at a startup—we're a small, nimble, collaborative, and creative team that's dedicated to impact. But we also work regular hours and offer the stability of working for an established non-profit. We respect work-life balance and work on a double bottom line—generating impact and revenue.

As a Senior Experience Designer, you’ll report to the Director, User Experience and be the dedicated design partner to the New Ventures Innovation Team working to design, test, and launch digital products that bring positive impact to consumers across personal finance, data privacy, and home management.

Under our CRFlex program, this position is eligible for remote work.

How You'll Make An Impact:

You’ll explore, ideate on, launch, and grow digital productsworking side by side with product, user research, engineering, and marketing. You’ll own design problems and opportunities end-to-end. From initial concept through shipping and growth, you’ll put customers first and utilize design thinking principles to work through all facets of the product design life cycle; from discovery and concept ideation, through flows and wireframes, to full-fidelity prototype designs. You’ll have the opportunity to think and act big, driving continuous innovation with a bias for action and thoughtful experimentation.

  • You are an experienced User Experience practitioner. You have 5+ years of practical UX experience with a minimum of 2 years in a senior role at a mobile or app-focused organization, agency, or startup.
  • You can innovate and iterate. You have a solid grasp of start-up principles and methodologies and have experience leading design for 0-1 consumer-facing digital products.
  • You are a collaborative leader. You thrive when you work alongside your product, research, and engineering teammates to define problems to be solved—using input from customers, the business, and our vision of the future.
  • You have a strong design point of view. And you’re comfortable advancing it persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization—backed up by personal expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends.
  • You see the big picture. You think about the holistic product, user experience, and potential interactions between different products, features, and platforms.
  • You speak digital fluently. You have a deep understanding of the technologies used in building digital and app experiences that provide the best end-user experience.
  • You are a constant design learner. You keep pace with new technologies and processes, and are proficient in modern design tools, including Figma, Sketch, InVision, etc.

You’ll Be One of Our Top Picks If:
