OVERVIEW

Consumer Reports is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Administrative Assistant to join our team onsite at our NYC Satellite office! The Senior Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing exceptional support to the SVP and VP for our strategy, new products and services, and innovation lab teams. In this role you will act as an ambassador for CR staff and visitors. If you are interested in being a part of an innovative, inclusive, and joyful workplace this is a great opportunity!

 

Under our CRFlex program, this position is designated as onsite! 

 

THE OPPORTUNITY

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

You will support the leads for three connected CR teams working on strategy, new products and services, and our innovation lab, to ensure their work is well organized. In this role you will also help manage our NYC satellite office as well as occupy/maintain the front desk area, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and representing CR to diverse internal and external audiences.  

 

The ideal candidate will be self motivated, able to work with very little supervision and have a warm and welcoming personality!

ABOUT YOU

You’ll Be Highly Rated If:

  • You have an Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education/work experience).
  • You are an experienced administrative support professional. You have at least 5 years experience successfully supporting C level executives in a corporate setting.  You are a "go to" resource for MS Office Suite and/or Google Workspace and you have general knowledge of budgeting and reporting systems (Cognos, Oracle, TM1, etc.) Your expense reports are impeccable and timely.
  • You are a presentation whisperer. In Powerpoint or Google slides, you have a knack for taking slides from bullet points to "wow" with compelling, professional layouts, fonts and graphics. 
  • You are a relationship builder. You have demonstrated success building collaborative, cross-enterprise partnerships and your relationships enable you to resolve challenges on behalf of the leaders you support. You say “yes” when asked for help and so others are happy to reciprocate when you need a favor.
  • You have excellent oral and written communication skills. You are able to carry out your responsibilities with a high level of discretion, professionalism, and exceptional judgment.
  • You are reliable. Punctuality and dependability are in your DNA. You have a long track record of delivering the highest quality work on or ahead of deadline.
  • You are mission driven. You care about CR’s mission and are excited to strengthen an innovative, inclusive, and joyful workplace.

Our Commitment to Fair Pay

At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is $78,000 to $90,000. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
