OVERVIEW

CR is currently seeking a Director, Digital Acquisition to lead our Digital Marketing team! The Director, Digital Acquisition will set the strategic vision to grow digital membership and be accountable for digital membership acquisition goals. They will lead digital membership acquisition efforts across SEO and all paid channels (digital, print, etc.). The Director will be a strategic voice in organizational audience development, audience segmentation, and CR brand reach and health. They will also manage three teams (SEO, Paid Digital Marketing, and Digital Performance Marketing) and lead the development of digital marketing creative and related media buying. Under our CRFlex program, this is a hybrid position and is eligible for remote work up to 90%. The successful candidate must reside within 75 miles of Yonkers, NY office location.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

In this role you will lead a team of high performance staff, maintaining the culture of curiosity, testing and learning and continuous improvements. You will identify new and emerging opportunities to acquire members and act as a partner to other CR teams, including Print Acquisition, to create a cohesive effect between digital and non-digital acquisition efforts in order to strengthen overall membership goals.

 

As Director, Digital Acquisition you will also:

  • Analyze channel performance to identify opportunities to scale learnings, make responsive improvements to ongoing efforts, and uncover new digital acquisition opportunities in response to external and internal factors
  • Communicate insights, translate complex data and information, and make actionable recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Balance near-term goals with long-term needs to increase brand demand and create a sustainable membership base

ABOUT YOU

You’ll Be Highly Rated If:

  • You are an expert at your craft - you have a minimum of 10 years digital marketing experience, with at least 7 years of experience in digital acquisition including paid search, paid social, programmatic media, SEO, etc.
  • You have deep technical experience - utilizing paid advertising including SEM (Google, Bing, etc.), Paid, Social (FB, IG, Pinterest, Reddit, etc.), Demand Side Platforms (Amazon DSP, Google DV360, etc.).
  • You have an "audience first" mindset - you are committed to maintaining and improving membership experience.
  • You have a track record of success - you have a proven track record of leading teams, campaigns and programs that drive long term financial value and brand health.
  • You are a BIG thinker - you are strategic and creative problem solver with expertise in building and implementing campaigns from the ground up. You are an analytical thinker with the ability to leverage data to inform and influence decision making.

FAIR PAY & A JUST WORKPLACE

At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is $170k to $210k. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
