OVERVIEW

Although we love the benefits and the ease that our digital tools have brought to our lives, only 9% of the people surveyed by CR feel they have “a lot of control” over the information that is collected about them.

CR, in conjunction with coalition partners, has been working to reshape the digital landscape in consumers' favor.  We were part of the efforts to pass the landmark California Consumer Privacy Act and the momentum is continuing--we’re working to pass additional reforms and protections--including a much needed federal privacy law.

As a Campaign Manager, Digital Rights on our Social Impact team, you will report to the Associate Director of Campaigns and help us incentivize corporations to act responsibly and policymakers to prioritize the rights and interests of consumers. You will work with CR stakeholders across the organization to create advocacy campaigns that engage all populations and empower consumers to be leaders in advocating for change.

We're looking for someone excited to develop breakthrough campaigns that leverage consumer power for meaningful change. To learn more about our advocacy program, visit https://advocacy.consumerreports.org/.

This position is grant-contingent, with a current end date of 5/30/2024 with an opportunity for extension as we secure additional philanthropic support, which is an organizational priority.
