OVERVIEW

CR is currently seeking an Associate Director of E-Commerce (Product) to join the CR team! If you have a passion for technology, payment processing and a proven track record driving growth (preferably with a subscription-based business), and creating user-centric digital experiences, this would be a great opportunity to utilize your talent! You also know how to inspire and galvanize teams, have experience managing stakeholders, leading through influence, and building cross-functional support to drive forward momentum.

 

 

Under our CRFlex program, this is a hybrid position and is eligible for remote work up to 90%. The successful candidate must reside within 75 miles of one of our main CR office locations (Yonkers, NY, Washington D.C., or Colchester, CT).  

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

As Associate Director E-Commerce (Product) you will balance and prioritize roadmap initiatives based on user needs and short and long term organizational objectives, partner with internal teams to identify opportunities to develop strategies to drive user statisfaction and membership growth, define metrics and KPI's to track success that allows CR to make informed data driven decisions. You will partner closely with leadership in IT to ensure performance goals are meet and build tools and infrastructure efficiently with scalability in mind.

 

The Associate Director will also have oversight of one or more product teams to include development and mentoring of staff.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll Be Highly Rated If:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree - and a minimum of 5 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years working on a consumer facing product (may be substituted for an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience).  
  • You know Payment processing - you have worked at a media company, membership organization, shopping website or like organization that generates 10's of millions of dollars in online revenue per year. 
    • You have experience managing multiple payment processor vendors such as;
      Stripe, Chase Paymentech, Braintree, Applepay, Paypal, Venmo, etc.
  • You have 1st hand knowledge of how Ecommerce platforms work - both from the customer perspective and from the back end perspective. You have a vivid understanding of how all the pieces work together.
  • You leverage external perspective and lead change - You are a self-starter who can act independently and entrepreneurially and is comfortable in a sometimes ambiguous, matrixed, and change-driven environment.

 

You'll Be One Of Our Top Picks If:

  • You have experience with recurring payments - such as yearly subscriptions (i.e. AARP, AAA, USAA) or monthly dues (i.e. Neflix, Spotify, Audible).
  • You have experience with fundraising donations - both one-time and recurring in manner, and donor benefit programs.

FAIR PAY & A JUST WORKPLACE

At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is $175k to $195k. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
