The engineer will design and establish the analytics database; The engineer will analyze various internal and external data sources and develop the data pipelines and ETLs to feed the databases systematically using modern Data-Engineering technologies.

The DBA is responsible for capacity planning, installation, on-going maintenance of all our databases that support various Ecommerce Applications and Internal Data Management Applications. This is hands-on technical role who will architect, administer, and provide 24*7 support as needed for ensuring there is minimal downtime to the production applications. The DBA will work with multiple cross functional teams ( System Admins, DevOps, Ecommerce Engineering, Web Engineering) to understand their data / database needs and provide/implement solutions as needed. The Sr. User Experience Researcher on the Consumer Insights team is responsible for leading qualitative user research initiatives that inform critical decisions for current and future Consumer Reports digital products. Will work closely with cross-product teams to design and execute exploratory field studies with users and subject-matter experts. Additionally, will plan, select, and conduct usability analyses in the field or using remote tools. This person will draw upon years of experience conducting user research and their knowledge of design principles to conduct various types of usability inspections -- identifying key issues that are likely to arise within and across our products.
The Sr. User Experience Researcher will play a crucial role in enhancing ConsumerReports.org across all devices and mobile apps. Will help evaluate early stage concepts to help establish direction and assess the effectiveness of digital products as they are being developed. This person will also promote the value of UX research and thoughtful design through session observations, findings presentations, and outreach to the larger UX community. The ideal candidate is driven by the desire to be a user advocate and is passionate about gathering insights based on direct observation to create products that are intuitive, engaging, and satisfying.
